Who Will Pay the Price?
I’ve had many conversations with people who have said, “Oh yes, I’ve read “Think and Grow Rich”!” I believe them. I believe they did read it, but that’s just it. They just read it.
I’ve also read many books too. But did those books get into me? Did I put into practice all the words I have read over the years? Did I Pay the Price and put into practice the principles of Auto-suggestion with the Faith of a child?
Hill clearly states unless you use the avenue of Auto-suggestion or self suggestion, you will fail. Wow, I’m telling you…….that is a hard pill to swallow! Nobody wants to fail!
Hill states that Auto suggestion is tricking or influencing our subconscious mind with the right thoughts to bring about what we want to happen in our life.
Is it that simple?
However, the instructions must be followed with an attitude of humility, consistently and with persistence.
And you must follow all of them.
You must also put emotion and feeling into your thoughts or spoken words, with a spirit of faith as you follow (to the letter) the 6 steps from the second chapter.
These instructions are not impractical. They may feel a bit weird at first. However, if you want to turn your Desire into money, you must influence your subconscious mind through the agency of Auto-suggestion.
Auto-suggestion is the Hub of the Wheel. It is the center point. It will turn the wheel of your life.
Follow the instructions to the letter and Auto-suggestion will open the way for you to completely understand and master the principles of success.
Will we pay the price?

Nice post. I had to read it 3 times before it even made sense to me, but the impact on my business, and my life, has been profound. As you said, it feels a bit weird at first, until you practice it and see the results…then watch out!
Hi Bryan, I’ve been through it at least 3 times with a Mastermind group, reading a chapter a week and I still gain new insights each time. There is soooo much in that book, I should read it for the rest of my life!
I believe that all Champions paid the price! It takes a price to get the prize. Who will pay will be the one that is sick and tired of being sick and tired. Or perhaps thier why is big enough!!! But I know that person better have a burning desire, a willingness to work and be in the right vehicle!!! Great info!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Have a blessed day!!!
Lisa, You are absolutely right. We need a burning desire. Sometimes it’s something negative in our life, like being sick and tired that pushes us over the edge, so to speak, to propel us forward to drastically change our lives. Thank you, I appreciate your comment.

I can’t imagine that anyone can get everything out of “Think and Grow Rich” in one read. And I agree about auto-suggestion. It does feel ‘weird’ at first, but I have had many life changing experiences using auto-suggestion. It DOES WORK if done as described.
Great post.

It is worth Dieing for But even more it is worth Living for.
But you will not get something for nothing.
This really drives that point home

Yes! Juanita, it is well worth living for because if we don’t choose Auto Suggestion we may just stay in a stagnant life. YUCK! I want MORE for myself and those I love. Live life to the fullest and do it with gusto!

I will! I will!
I never really tried reading Think and Grow Rich by myself. I’ve gotten so much more out of it by reading and brainstorming with a mastermind group. Even this way, I learn something new every time I go through it. And the more I take action, following all the directions completely, the better things are for me.
Great post, Lynn! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lynn,
“Auto-suggestion is the Hub of the Wheel. It is the center point. It will turn the wheel of your life.

Will we pay the price?”
I have one thing to say, my friend. I AM ALL IN! Let me prove it.
Here is the autosuggestion/self-suggestion I now tell myself morning and night every day: “On or before January 14th 2012, I believe and can see $10,000 deposited in my bank account from giving unconditional love, top notch training, and the power of the master mind to 12 leaders whom have joined me in my ________ Business and are carrying the mission to attract their 12 leaders right Now! This or something better is happening because God has blessed me with Abundance.”
This, coupled with self talk of a similar emotional intensity and faith, said 400-500 time per day, is my guarantee that my success is right here and right now.
Thanks,

Hi Lynn,
great to see you sharing Napeleon Hill’s wisdom.
I love his book.
Auto suggestions are so important.
I call it reprogramming my mind and building new neural pathways in the brain which then cause the old not so beneficial pathways to atrophy.
John Assaraf describes the way the brain works in his book “The Answer”
Thank you so much for sharing this.

Yorinda,
Thank you for your kind comments. “The Answer” sounds like a great book I would be interested in reading. I’ll have to add to my “to read book list”.
Have a great day!

Hi Lynn,
It’s one of my favorite books! You said it perfectly- there are people who read books, attend events, trainings, but they don’t take the next step and apply what they’ve learned. Knowledge isn’t power but applied knowledge is. Without action, you’re just daydreaming

Hi Janette, It’s one of my favorite books too. It is full of success truths, but we have to apply what we learn as we go. You are right, we have to take action on what we know!
Have a great day!
Blessings to you,
Lynn
Hi Lynn
Think and Grow Rich is a fantastic book and has so much in it I really can’t take it all in. I did a series of posts, one on each chapter of the book and need to go back over them again and again. I wish this book was on the essential reading list for all schools.

Belinda,
I totally agree with you about Think and Grow Rich being required reading in the school system.
The book is fabulous and there is so much to glean. That is why I am part of a Mastermind group that goes through it a chapter a week. We write a lesson and then have a weekly conference call to discuss what we all learned. It’s a great way to keep it fresh in our mind as it is ongoing.
Blessings,
Lynn
I’m with Bryan – I had to read a few times to get it. Guess that’s the point, isn’t it!!
Thanks,
Jodi
I can relate, that’s why we read a chapter a week with a Mastermind group. It’s ongoing and I learn something new every time we go through it. Plus I am also reminded of what I forgot! Lol
Blessings!
Lynn
I have not read the book, so I cannot comment on the chapter you are referring to. However, I do know that if you don’t believe in your own endeavors who will? It takes a firm commitment and believe to make things happen. Also, if it were easy we would be too late in the game. The fact that it takes a lot to be successful means an opportunity not a road block. If we are serious about our businesses, that is.

Karin, Wow, I have not bumped in to many people who have not read Think and Grow Rich. But you are right we must believe in our endeavors and that book will surely help a person get the proper mindset for success.
I encourage you to pick it up, or better yet read it one chapter a week with a Mastermind group. It is life changing. Let me know if that interests you.
Have a blessed day!
Lynn
Hi Lynn,
Reading and digesting Think and Grow Rich was the turning point in my life….
I could not figure out how to condition the subconscious mind when we really do not control it.
Great post and thanks for calling over and leaving a comment at my blog.
Cheers
Bryan
Hi Bryan! Me too! It and continues to be a huge positive impact on my life. Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great rest of the week.
Be blessed!
Lynn
I’ve read the book several times and recently got it on cd. It’s amazing how many times I can listen to it and still find something new.

Debbie, You are absolutely spot on. We read it on a continual basis, a chapter a week as a Mastermind group and new nuggets are discovered each time we rotate through the book. It’s wonderful to see peoples lives change by drinking in the truths and applying them from Think and Grow Rich.
Be blessed!
Lynn
Excellent post Lynn!
Like Debbie I too have the CD version. I find I receive the book differently when I listen than when I read. Both versions have helped me tremendously in creating postiive changes in my life.
You are absolutely right a book we need to read for the rest of our lives.
I think when someone reads a book such as Think & Grow Rich or any other book. I think a person does get something out of it. But they don’t ever truly absorb everything that is written. That is why it’s good to read a book a few times over. Just like a good movie. Sometimes you may notice that you probably missed out on something that was said or something you see. This is an important message here. I have both versions of the Think & Grow Rich; CD & Book. But there are several different versions of the book as well that are slightly altered but practically teaches the same lessons. Thanks for sharing

Great post! All winners are willing to pay the price. Unfortunately, most people will only pay lip service to this: they say they are willing to do what it takes, but their actions say otherwise. Napoleon Hill has indeed written a treasure for all time in Think and Grow Rich.
